Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies w/Cream Cheese Icing

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies   

Ingredients:       3 oz cream cheese (softened)

                        ½ cup butter (softened)

                        2/3 cup sugar

                        ½ tsp baking powder

                        1 egg

                        ½ tsp vanilla

                        2 cups flour

In a large bowl beat cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds.  Add sugar and baking powder; beat until combined.  Beat in egg, and vanilla until combined.  Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer.Stir in remaining flour with a wooden spoon.Cover and chill for 2 hours.Roll, shape and bake at 350 for 10 to 13 minutes or until edges are light brown. 

Cream Cheese Frosting   

Ingredients:       8 oz cream cheese (softened)

                        ½ cup butter (softened)

                        2 cups powdered sugar

                        2 tsp vanilla

Mix well and color if desired.
