Today Was A Good Day!
I don’t really know why but I am happy today. I got up at 6 this morning and drove to my aunts to go do a cash count at Sooper CU WAY up north almost to Golden. This went smoothly, I met a man there named Andrew. He was the branch manager and a really nice guy. He kept talking to me while I was counting which made it more difficult but it was nice not to have an irriated person watching me count all that cash. Before that I had went to the gassy mart to fill up my truck then went to Starbucks to get a drink cause I still have a gift card. I thought since I was early I should have a treat. It was great but I forgot to get nonfat so it hurt my belly a bit. (Maybe it the richness of the whole milk that does me in). The whole time I was counting that cash my stomach was screaming at me. No big though, I made it through. I then headed over to the Sooper CU main branch over on 60th and Sheridan to do some more work on loans there.
Billy was able to meet me and my aunt at Applebees for lunch. I don’t think I have been to lunch with Billy since he started working in Louisville, it was great! Again though stomach issues, for some reason everytime I eat at Applebees I don’t feel so hot afterwards. Again it was no big, it was more of an irriatation than anything yucky. I had to head back to Sheridan to finish my work on the loans, take the work back to my aunts house further West and then headed to say hi to my dad in Cherry Hills.
For school I need a few supplies but have little money so I stopped at Michael’s (I was told they have cake supplies that are cheaper than a Bed Bath & Beyond type place). They had a couple things I needed for cheap but not the things I needed right away, guess I will have to wait till next paycheck and hope my team mates won’t mind me borrowing their stuff. Finally I made it to visit my dad and he wanted me to take him to pick up his old Cadillac he bought. It is a really cool car, white, beastly, leather, 80’s, nice! Anyways I got to catch up with him since I missed my ritual Friday lunch with him then we head over to a place called Milo’s on Evans and Monaco. It was your average bar but good drinks, I had my usual.
On my way home I talked to my friend Joy abou the day and whats going on in her life. Her and her wife are trying to have a baby and she is telling me all about the ups and downs of that roller coaster. Crazy stuff but I wish them well.
When I got home I put my new stuff in my toolbox full of knives and culinary tools, it is getting so full that I am having to switch things out based on what we are donig the next week. Yikes, my kitchen is already too full, so is my truck.
At home I am now working on bills and trying to catch up on emails from the week. Basically avoiding homework I should be doing but have no motivation for. The homework this semester is insane! My mom called and said she got a new job that me and my friend Joy helped introduce her too, I think it will be hard to work 12 hour shifts but I hope she will enjoy it.
So see… that is it, a pretty basic day driving all over town, seeing and talking to tons of people, choosing which bills to pay, and playing with the dogs. Nothing special but I am happy today!
